Born from the creative interests of local youth, our Beauty Lab celebrates cosmetic science designed to inspire and educate - teaching science (by stealth), giving young people the opportunity to craft everyday skin and hair products from scratch.

Using botanicals harvested directly from our surrounding gardens and local suppliers, students dive into the fascinating world of green chemistry principals and product development. Our workshops guide them through the entire process: from plant identification and phytochemical extraction to formula builds and lab quality standards. It’s an engaging, hands-on dive into cosmetic science, tailored to each age group, and they walk away with the professional-grade products they created themselves.
